Steve Williams says he has the images from the Old Wiki (OW) backed up.

Alastair Bells urges that one of the first things to get up is a list of
links to other pages. I've pitched the job into his lap.

Loren Busch says he's found the OW's curtains patterns pages on the
wayback machine, I had no luck with anything other than the front page.
Pry info out of him.

I have PDFs of the VW Vanagon Fuel Injection Training Manuals, a PDF
Bentley and the full set of VW drawings for the underside armour on a
Syncro.

I'll have to snoop around and see what else is in there - I've been
focused on the Subaru transplant...

As long as it ain't copyrighted.

Probably best not to post the Bentley manual, since it's still in
print. Better to post links to vendors who sell it.

But for materials no longer in print, I say go ahead and post
them. The copyright holders can file a DMCA takedown, if they
object. My server is at a colo operated by www.sfccp.net, so the
DMCA demands will come to me directly, not to a commercial host who
might respond by shutting down the whole wiki.

There are copyright materials posted on www.bondline.org, and we've
received no demand letters. We interpret that to mean the copyright
holders have no objections.

I'll set up the wiki and post the archived images as soon as I can.

My feelings exactly Steve.

I wouldn't post the Bentley but I see no reason we couldn't put the fuel injection manuals, the drivability manual, the AC manuals and the Dometic manual on line - they're for the most part not really being supported anymore, let alone sold.

we can always use citation form for anything directly relevant in Bentley.
I think there is a logo for the wiki in the tarball as well. (I can upload the tarball to this group if it will let me)

Yeah, hey man I did that logo!

There's a whole folder full of images, those seem to be intact.

But that tarball is, like, 18MB in size, yet looking through it I'll be
darned if I can see anywhere near that much in it. Is it just me? Or is
there hidden stuff?

I think if you search for .png, .jpg, and .GIF you should be fine.

It will--at least it let me put a picture up. Says we have a 100 M
quota, but it's not being used for anything right now so feel free.
