HA Still A Force In BC Gang Subculture

Hells Angels members from across Canada arrive at the gang's White

Nanaimo Hells Angels president Lloyd Stennes, 64, thought the police
were knocking on his door when he answered it, gripping a metal
baseball bat.
(Greg-Considering how many ppl hate HA that isn't a bad move. One of
his predecessors Michael Mickle disappeared and is believed murdered.
Cedric Baxter Smith a full patch with the Vancouver chapter is
believed murdered after going missing.The murder of Earl Stephen
Seymour was the killing of an HA gang
member. Dylan Becker was a drug dealer who worked for the HAMC. His
murder was the most talked about on the street that I have ever heard
in Surrey. The largest homicide in Surrey history happened in
retaliation. It is still unsolved.)
Instead, two investigators from the Canada Revenue Agency greeted the
aging Angel that day in February 2006. They demanded details of his
assets and cash flow because he is suspected of earning income through
"organized crime or other criminal activities," according to notes in
the agency's voluminous Hells Angels files.
The two-year revenue agency investigation into dozens of Hells Angels,
associates, their wives and girlfriends is indicative of the
increasing law-enforcement pressure on Canada's most notorious biker
gang as it celebrates its 25th anniversary in B.C. this weekend.
The image of the old man at the door with a bat speaks to the erosion
of reputation. The Angels are no longer untouchable. Rival gangs no
longer fear them.
(Greg-"The war is on" was the cry before Earl Stephen Seymour was
murdered. "Die HA" is sometimes heard along with "Anybody but HA". The
local media report more about them than ever but at times still are
terrified of them. East Coast media reported that Mr.Seymour was an HA
drug dealer at one time selling tens of thousands of dollars of crack
a month for them but the local media didn't report that HA angle. If
it isn't fear keeping the media in check then it is being bribed off
or they fear having their drug and prostitute activities exposed.)
Some of the mystique is gone but police warn that the club still
controls much of B.C.'s illicit drug trade, worth billions of dollars
annually.
(Greg-They have lost market share. The UN gang is said to control the
vast majority of the DTES drug market not that HA doesn't have a
presence there.) Indeed, the Angels have continued to spread their
wings in B.C. since the first three chapters were formed in Vancouver,
White Rock and Nanaimo on July 23, 1983.
(Greg-In any case they also have significant business assets.)
It is only in the last two years that sophisticated multi-force
criminal probes have led to dozens of charges and convictions against
Hells Angels and associates.
(Greg-Long overdue. Pressure from papers like the Victoria
Times-Colonist help.)
The Nanaimo clubhouse where Stennes and his buddies gathered weekly
for "chapel" was seized last November under the B.C. Civil Forfeiture
Act by a heavily armed police emergency response team -- the first
such action against the gang in this province. There are still two
historic criminal cases before B.C. Supreme Court that could result in
an official declaration that the Hells Angels, with 107 B.C. members
in eight chapters, is operating as a criminal organization.
(Greg-Worse than that it is also a terrorist org.)
Just this week, Mission Hells Angel Brian Hall was arrested on an
extradition warrant issued after he was charged in Washington state
with conspiring to smuggle more than 1,100 kilos of marijuana and
$185,000 cash across the border.
For years, the Hells Angels spokesman Rickey Ciarniello would brag to
the media that no club member had been convicted of a crime in B.C.
(Greg-That was a lie. Various of them had convictions but they were
buried in police files.
But that all changed seven years ago, when full-patch Angels Ronaldo
Lising and Francisco Pires were found guilty of cocaine trafficking
after an unprecedented Vancouver Police investigation dubbed Project
Nova.
Insp. Andy Richards, now with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement
Unit, was a leader of the project, which began in the mid-1990s.
"It has been touted, since the convictions were registered in 2001, as
the first successful Hells Angels project in the province," Richards
said.
"That was a significant file because I think it really served to
generate some momentum in this province and an appetite for biker
investigations....
"Their stock has certainly dropped significantly out there in the
criminal underworld. Other groups don't see them as the only game in
town any more. There are now lots of other criminal groups out there."
Some of those -- like the ultra-violent United Nations and Red
Scorpion gangs -- mimic the Angels in structure and imagery, adopting
patches, logos and special gang jewelry.
(Greg-Unlike HA I've never heard of anyone having problems with these
two other gangs unless they were engaged in criminal behaviour. RS is
getting blamed by some in the media for the largest homicide in Surrey
but it has been previously reported as being by a bike gang and what
would be the motive of the Scorpions.)
Despite unprecedented police resources targeting them, the Angels are
still here and growing. A new chapter formed in Kelowna in 2007,
Richards said.
(Greg-Increase the resources. I believe them to be in slow decline.)
"We are not seeing dramatic expansion. What we are seeing in this
province is slow, incremental, measured growth. Certainly Kelowna is
an example of the expansion."
And they still have international tentacles and respect.
"We are considered to be a real Hells Angels' epicentre," Richards
said. "B.C.'s Hells Angels are still considered to be very
sophisticated. They are well-respected in the Hells Angels world,
around the world."

extortion, homicide, kidnapping, prostitution, meth and cocaine
dealing, rape, armed robbery and motorcycle theft and child
pornography
as well as phony currency and witness intimidation and obstruction of
justice. They have been known to bribe and scare law enforcement
officers and judges into doing their bidding. These ppl must be
rooted
out of the Cdn justice system. Two judges have actually done their
job
and declared HAMC a criminal org and the Victoria Times-Colonist is
calling for it to be banned as a terrorist org.

The White Rock chapter Sgt.Of Arms, Villy Roy Lynnerup, recently was
arrested for trying to board an airplane at YVR
with a loaded firearm. Was probably going to crash the plane into the
Downtown courthouse or hold the passengers hostage in exchange for
the
release of Moms Boucher and all imprisoned full patch members. All
the
Hell's Angels, their supporters, associates etc. should be imprisoned
for twenty years
their children put in foster care and their assets seized.
Ppl are trying to get HAMC listed as a terrorist org. If you support
this
then write letters to editors of local newspapers and your local MP.
As well John Les the solicitor-general of BC before he resigned has
advocated banning
the wearing of gang colours such as biker patches in bars. Perhaps
John VanDongen can finish the job he started. Since HA
is
known to frequent Brandi’s and the Cecil and has links to
various bars in BC that would be an improvement. The gang has a
history of intimidating
bartenders, infiltrating unions involved in the bar industry, beating
and killing strippers and beating customers to death at random for no
reason. Contact your MLA as well as the local media and tell them you
want this implemented sooner rather than later.
VPD is appealing again for info about the homicide of Maria Yvette
Monzon who was shot dead on the westside of Vancouver. She was killed
by HA but the police have never stated that. There is a reward.
Colleen Reiter (Ryder?) of Surrey was killed by HAMC but the RCMP
refuse to confirm this.
