Eight people were arrested when Surrey RCMP and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a house in the 13700-block of Grosvenor Road in Bolivar Heights on Wednesday afternoon.

“They’re just working on processing some of the exhibits seized so we can get a more fulsome picture of everything that was located and seized,” Cpl. Vanessa Munn said Thursday.

Area resident Dominic Vallee said he heard one gun shot and glass breaking.

“I heard a shotgun, there was tear gas deployed, it was pretty f—-ing mental,” he said. “I personally heard two kinds of weapons, so there was an exchange of fire, guaranteed.”

The Surrey RCMP says no shots were fired.

“Nope, no shootout, a search warrant being executed, no shots fired, no,” Munn said. “It was a search warrant that was executed in relation to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and at the initial execution eight people were arrested inside the residence.”

Meantime, on Dec. 22, 9:30 p.m., Surrey Mounties responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 13700-block of Grosvenor Road and a man was taken to hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Strange that the witness Mr. Vallee says he heard a shotgun blast and then a different gun firing and the RCMP says there was no gunfire.

https://globalnews.ca/news/9370079/surrey-shooting-man-hospital/ The Dec. 22 shooting happened at a different house on the same block.

https://www.surrey.ca/news-events/news/notice-of-intention-sell-city-land-13791-grosvenor-road City Of Surrey is selling a large part of a lot at 13791 Grosvenor Rd asking price $1.4 million.

The empty well maintained field on Grosvenor Rd has an old City Of Surrey sign saying no trespassing but ppl do so every day why not? Some ppl hang out there who are obviously into crime and or are drug addicted. The Shadow Club MC clubhouse is on the other side of the empty field https://www.reddit.com/r/vancouver/comments/blql35/shadow_club_hells_angels_clubhouse_in_surrey_on/ Put Shadow Club MC Surrey in Google and it shows Gus's Shop on KGH owned by a full patch Hell's Angel. RCMP say the Shadow Club is a H.A. puppet club the Shadow Club MC Pres. last I heard lives in the expensive British Properties on the North Shore he has a nice full dresser Harley. The field is about one block from where the murder in May happened and the man shot on Thursday.

The strip mall at the corner of KGH and 108 Ave. less than a 5 minute walk from where the violent incidents on Grosvenor Rd. happened has homeless and addicts hanging out in the parking lot always but way less than there used to be. There is a porn store in that mall and the Surrey Urban Mission which among other things is a homeless shelter 24-40 beds depending on whatever https://www.sumsplace.ca/shelter S.U.M. has helped the poor in Whalley for at least 20 years I went there once around 17 years ago but they had nothing I wanted. S.U.M. is a registered charity.

WATCH: Surrey RCMP are showing off a haul of guns, cash and drugs -- seized during a raid Wednesday as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Eight people were arrested after Surrey RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Thursday.

The warrant was carried out by a Surrey RCMP response unit, with assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team, at a home on Grosvenor Road.

“The search warrant was issued under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, stemming from an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the neighbourhood,” Const. Sarbjit Sangha said.

Along with the eight arrests, police were able to seize a loaded shotgun, six airsoft pistols, an airsoft rifle, 1.4 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine, 184 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 110 grams of suspected cocaine, and more than $7,000.

“Residents deserve to feel safe and secure in their neighbourhoods,” Staff Sgt. Nigel Pronger said.

“If you observe suspicious activity, criminal behaviour, or something that negatively affects safety in our community, you are encouraged to call police.”

One of the eight arrested was held in custody for breach of probation and the others were released “pending further investigation,” police said.
