Yogesh Bhatia is organizing this fundraiser.
The loss of a loved one is devastating to suffer from and is worse when a young, bright life is taken.

We at Friends For Cause Foundation (FFCF) with the support of Vancouver Indian Forum are organizing this fundraiser for the funeral of Navdeep Singh, a 24 years old boy from India. The funds raised will be used to pay dues towards the funeral home, and send his remains to India.

Navdeep Singh was here on a work permit with his wife, 22-year-old Pardeep Kaur, who is a student. His elder brother is also here on a work permit. We met the family for the details of this heart-breaking story.

Navdeep died on 10th June 2020 near Newton while he was waiting for a bus. It seems it was a silent heart attack.

Like many of us, he had big dreams of settling here. Sadly though, young people from overseas pass through some difficult phases here. There is no one for the family here to discuss issues related to the settlement or support them through this challenging time. After getting the news of Navdeep's sudden demise, his mother has been hospitalized. The parents were supposed to come here from India, but that is no longer possible.

After looking at all the paper-work, the cost comes out to be around $13,000 to $15,000.

The funds collected by us will be used to cover the cost of Funeral Home here (where the body is) and to send remains to India. FFCF will keep none of the funds collected. This fundraiser has been posted after due discussion, and with the permission of the family on behalf of Pardeep Kaur (wife of Navdeep Singh).

https://www.classmates.com/siteui/classphotos/photo/100174346730 I posted pic of the poster about his death and missing backpack at the time.

Stealing from a dead person on the street pretty low and despicable. His widow needed that documentation inside to help settle his affairs with the Indian govt. and CDN govt.

I remember when Lisa Ellie Marie Baines was shot dead in her car in the alley behind Superstore in Dec. 2020 two times friends and family left flowers and memorial cards in the undeveloped lot where her vehicle came to rest after she was shot and they disappeared within 24 hours pretty scummy. That homicide is still unsolved. Hats off and well done to the ppl who donated the money to the fundraiser.
