1. Due to the weather, boys soccer practice is cancelled. Practice
will resume Thursday from 3 to 5.

2. Congratulations to participants in the Scholastic Bowl for their
excellent win yesterday.

3. Girls volleyball played a great match last night winning all 5
games against Poughkeepsie.

4. The girls field hockey team tied Mahopac last night 2-2. Please
remember there is no practice today. Our next practice is Thursday
from 3 to 4:30. Please remember your home uniforms for pictures.

5. There will be a parents meeting for Drama crew members and their
parents on Saturday, Oct. 31st from 11:30 to 12:30. Any questions,

7. Any girl interested in trying out for Apex Club volleyball, please
see Miss Holzman in room 118. Tryouts begin Nov. 1st at Casperkill
Country Club. Info. pamphlets can be found in the main office.

8. The John Jay Lady Patriot Basketball Team will be holding a
beginning of the season clinic to help prepare girls in 4th through
9th grade for their upcoming school and CYO basketball tryouts. The
clinic will be held on Saturday November 7th from 10 to 2. For more
information please contact Mr.Brooks at 227-1700 x 102 or
Lawrence.brooks @ wappingersschools.org. Registration will be on a
first come, first serve basis!

9. There will be a large box in the main office for our annual coat
drive to benefit Dutchess Outreach. We will be collecting the coats
during the month of October. All coats and jackets and welcomed and
children's and plus sizes are urgently needed.

10. Hey 7th grade girls! There is a program just for you. Friends,
food, fun, crafts, workshops and girl talks. You are invited to
register for a special day at Dutchess Community College. Live Your
Dream Girls' Conference is Nov. 7th. If you didn't receive a pre-
registration form, pick one up in the main office. Last day to
register is Nov. 2nd.

11. Box Tops For Education Homeroom Contest. The homeroom that
collects the most valid ones gets treated to breakfast. Each boxtop
coupon is worth 10 cents for our school which helps fund the various
programs run by the PTA. Thank you for taking the time to make a
difference.
