There are proposals to raise our property tax by 100% to 900%  See this article https://vanburen.brooklyncoop.org/who-represents-us-in-our-government

Also the current political club here VANGUARD INDEPENDENT DEMOCRATS are slowly losing many current positions.  State Senate: Tremaine Wright lost to Jabari Brisport.

Here's another choice we will make in the upcoming primary.

Eon Huntley vs. Stefani Zinerman

If you read the statement below Eon refers to Stefani Zinerman as "my / his opponent" and working against good-cause eviction.

But it appears that no one is talking about the property tax proposal.  Maybe that is good but history shows us that laws that are passed are sometimes hard to change.  The current tax law S7000A has stood for nearly 45 years. 😀

Eon Tyrell Huntley: Assembly District 56 is 77% renters in a community that’s experienced its share of evictions. We also have older and second-generation homeowners who are at risk of being foreclosed on. People need to be able to stay where they are. That’s why I support the good-cause eviction bill that would provide protection for tenants who have none. My opponent is actively working against that. And so in this time when people need some real support, particularly when it comes to housing, I can’t just sit around and not be active.

I have represented this block for the past four years in the Democratic Party County Committee.  I have a  petition that you can sign to help us continue to have some representation.  Call or text me if you are a registered democrat and would like to sign the petition.   Include your name and possible times to meet to sign and place to meet or ring the bell at 58 Van Buren St second floor and you can sign the petition.

The truth is the county committee seems to do very little but it is better to see than NOT see 😀

Thanks,
Ralph

Following up on the upcoming elections.

It is amazing how much information our government tracks.

Did you know that our government tracks whether you vote or not?

Has anyone reached our representatives offices?

There seems to be almost no constituent services at all.

I can say that our former state senator Montgomery did at the very least try to help.  Although not accomplishing anything.

The current state senator does not even answer the phone.  It appears they are too busy tweeting.

Sad but I'd love to hear any good stories about our representatives.

😀

Anyone that wants to see how much is tracked by governments see link

Remember this is only a very small fraction of the information tracked.

It is good for everyone to be aware of this tracking.
