Opportunity for “Senior IT Architect” opening @ Providence, RI.
Title: Senior IT Architect
Location: Providence, RI
Length: 11 months contract

Position Description:
Provides mentoring and architectural guidance to the development staff throughout the entire project life cycle, and ensures adherence to our client’s enterprise architecture development standards and may assist in developing standards for program development.
Interacts with Project Managers to provide estimated timeframes for the delivery of enterprise solutions, facilitating the creation of accurate project plans.
Responsible for assessment, ongoing revisions, and compliance to our client’s overall enterprise architecture.
Evaluates and implements emerging tools and techniques to optimize the IT development process.
Competent to work at the highest technical level in selected disciplines of enterprise architecture.
Utilizes and maintains technical and applications expertise, including the use of technologies, tools, programming standards, established processes, and concepts necessary to develop quality enterprise solutions.
Provides coverage and support of production application systems
Conducts research and attends training and/or industry seminars to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies, trends and directions.
May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Must haves:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ of professional experience
Experience working within a structured software development methodology (ideally Agile)
Strong working knowledge of Java, J2ee, Web Application Frameworks and Object Oriented Design (OOD)
Experience in enterprise integration aspects including SOA, XML, Web Services, Messaging and others (not all required)
Must have working knowledge of systems and data integration techniques

Agile experience
