Dear VAMPIRE Development Team,

Greetings!
My name is Christopher Johnson. I am writing to seek your guidance on a technical issue regarding the output of magnetic structures during hysteresis loop simulations. Specifically, while simulating the hysteresis loop of a cobalt monolayer, I would like to extract the spin configuration at each applied magnetic field in order to observe the evolution of the magnetic structure throughout the loop.

To this end, I included the following lines in my input file:

config:atoms
config:atoms-output-rate = 1000

However, upon completion of the simulation, only the initial spin configuration was saved, and no further configurations were output. I am unsure whether the issue lies in the output settings or in another part of the setup.

I have attached my input and output files for your reference.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance—I greatly appreciate your support, and I look forward to your response.

Warm regards,
Christopher Johnson

In your output file, it looks like you have a total of 162 field steps.  It might be that the "config:atoms-output-rate = 1000" tells the program to output once after 1000 field steps that might not happen in this case.  Have you tried using "config:atoms-output-rate = 1" to see if that outputs once after each field step?

Kind Regards,
Gavin

Thank you very much for your explanation. After changing the setting from config:atoms-output-rate = 1000 to config:atoms-output-rate = 1, I obtained 162 magnetic structure files, which successfully resolved the issue.
Warm regards,
Christopher Johnson
