Hi girls, it's nice to have this group.
I am an Argentine female fully bilingual (Spanish/English) and have
been working as an EA for over 14 years in a multinational. I am also
mother of twins (boy and girl) who will turn 5 next yearr.
I started doing research on the web on the VA industry by chance and
after reading a lot and seeing there is a lot of potential in this
work-from-home opportunity career I began working on my profile,
website (rather poor by the way so far) and gained my first client
thru Elance.
I myself know there is a lot of competition from India but so far and
since Spanish is a plus, I have had more than 5 retainer clients
bidding $10/15 per hour or on a fixed rate basis.
I am also currently attending an online VA course in order to become
certified by the IVAA and have found this organization and the VACOC
(VA chamber of commerce) pretty helpful.

I am still virtual part-time but intend to grow my business after
becoming certified and once I feel confident enough to switch to
totally virtual (I have to pay lots of bills therefore it is not
convinient to jump from zero)

I hope we can get to share our experiences and help each other.

Saludos, desde Argentina

Maria

Hi Maria,

Welcome to the group! I think it is wonderful that we have so many
ladies in this group that are so diversified. :)

There are lots of opportunities as a VA out there despite the
competition from India! We just have to get our name out there and
provide quality service that brings back repeat clients and referrals
from existing clients!

It is my hope that this group will provide all of us with help, advice
and shared knowledge to steer us forward in our businesses!

Warmly,

Linda...
