Removing the "Serial" check for Parts

For anyone inquiring.... You may already know this of course.

Open "part catalog" enter the part number you want to be "non serial"
edit and remove the two tick-of.

Do you have the Serial# for the sheave purchased on the above PO? I
did not receive any paperwork here on the rig for those items and I
need the Serial# to receive it into VAM...

I also noticed as well that some PO's require certification or Serial
numbers for items that obviously don't need it such as o'rings and
such. How do I get rid of this requirement so I can get the item
received into VAM?
