Stanford most favored nation. my favorite. made a lot of money from the bush project. it was a gang. they gave it over to Tom Ridge. Michael Moore is making the movie. and it's over. we made it to the new centeruy. that's why we like"him" and not "them". they didn't make it. we want to be most favorted nation. did publishing become science fiction. it's the future. science fiction television. new science ficition programs ended up dwindling down to nothing. no new ideas. Al Gore sent me an inconvient message it's like "the awful truth". WHERE DID IT END UP "PUBLISHING IS DEVOID OF CONTINET" around the end of the century. throw in your towl. Michael Moore picked up the banner. promises us a new movie. most fascinating new force.bettter than "failed". past instead. the future. I don't know. Tom Ridge. HLS [Homeland Security] picked up the gang. and it's "russian". as for real sicience fiction. publishing starts out as future of publishing and ends with Kurt Vonneguy and "ice nine". Thomas Pyncheon "entropy".  Frank Herbert "dune". Aldous Huxley "brave new world" Gabriel Garcia Marquez 100 years of solitude. future rezooms. next. out with the old and in with the new.

san francisco chronicle information services "steve case" very important person meets old worker "aek" looks like he could be an ex-con and finally "it's a squish toy" on my desk. odd. "some day i'll give you a squish toy". weird comment and finally no squish toy. years later similar problem pizza roll gay area and it's "some day i'll give you a pizza roll" (it's really a calzone) looks obscene. he doesn't mean "pizza roll" like a large ____. years later bbs [bulletin bard system] via AOL and apple macintosh. "meet hot cop" actually tom cook. turns out big problem. short friendship. finally years later again its "dennis" he looks like a squish toy. very funny. could this be the "steve case" squish toy. old pal around to make the introductions. again. perhaps too often. he was always there for new people introdcutions. dennis is a very nice new person becomes instant friend. traveling L.A. pals friends of David Lynch. all died or in prison since. future of publishing in abeyance. it's digital. call the netheads. they like computers. I was there since day one and it wasn't "computer science" it was publihing. processing data. it's creative writing. poetry. fiction. public readlings. literature. I read all of these in high school and college. then there's 100 years of solitude. return to normal life. science fiction writimg left off with "Orsen Scott Card" book called "enders game" as the end of the century new science fiction writer. read it. very very good. and not on the reading list. if it's not AOL then it's YAHOO or GOOGLE or MSN that have taken the lead in publishing. astonishing. yet not literature. not really publishing. information services. did any of our great writers predict information services.
.
conclusion
Jules Verne. the leading science fiction writer where it all came true. did not predict computer science. everything else wahed out. squish toy cum pizza roll cum "dennis" ends badly. prison. or dead. star trek great computer system. not information services ether. star wars. let's ask the computer. "not right either there" spock says to jim kirk. Stanley Kubrick predicgted "HAL" the computer aboard the space station orbiting planet earth that finally rebells agains the astronauts and requires and hand held tool to stop the deadly attack. no future. perhas Johnny Rotten and the sex pistols were right. predicting information services didn't happen.
