You can get a tiny wire brush, that I believe will fit into tube sockets, from Caig, the Deoxit people.  It’s 4” long and 1/16” in diameter.  I have one.  It comes in a small, square plastic tube, which I use because if I ever dropped it I would have a hard time finding it.  Look under Products > Caig Accessories.  It’s called a Cleaning Brush, #B-SS116.  It looks like it’s $12.95 plus shipping,

I have used DeOxit on tube sockets, not convinced it did much.

Anyone have a source of an abrasive rod, like a tiny diameter wire brush,

to run thru the female pins in a tube socket ?

On ceramic / Bakelite switches,. I have see references to fixing the tension

on a wiper contact, but no description how that was done. Is that a light

tap against the semicircular edge with a blade to squish it slightly ? Force

parallel to wafer so contact is not lifted ?

Regards, Dana.

I've been using these for years as well as a dental pic to tighten up the tube socket inserts.  :)
