Next Mara meeting

The first Thursday in July will be July 4th and I am wondering if MARA will meet that night.  I am trying to get connected with Herb Slade so that we can come to the MARA meeting together.

 

Herb: Pse let me know if you have rcvd this note So that I can figure out how to get to ur QTH. I will make an extra trip to learn how to get there.

 

If the meeting is on I want to bring my  ICOM HM-36 mic with schematic diagram to the meeting for sale.  New they cost $30.00 each. I would like to get $15.00 for this one. The money for the sale of this mic will be turned over to the MARA treasury so that we have some cash in case something disastrous happens. (I would like for other ops who are being phased out of Ham radio to suggest that they turn over the money from final sale of their gear to the club.)  This is more easily done before an OP goes SK.)

 

This is almost the last of 71 years of Hamming and I am glum about it for sure. Home brewing and DXing sure are missed! As a kid of 15 to go on the air as a Novice using 5 watts  CW and have some OP come back to me when I called him was a thrill that can't be described.

 

 I am keeping the ICOM IC-24AT for a while to be able to get on the Monday night net. Pretty soon it will be the last of the gear.
