noise

A couple of thoughts on the noise problem.

 

With all the outlaw transmissions going on in the Citizens Band I wonder if anyone has checked to see if something is coming from there. I find it hard to believe that a legitimate station would create this mess that is being described. I have heard of some very weird things that some of the CBers do that cause all kinds of problems.

 

We know that giving the frequencies to CBers was not a wise choice.  It has become a very neat way for speeders to help find out where the police officers are watching as they speed on the expressways .

 

Unfortunately, whether they are behind the noise problem or not we are stuck with them especially when they encroach on our legitimate frequencies and create havoc.

I raised an issue recently here about interference on 30M.  For several days, several of us were hearing what appeared to be spurs from an AM Christian broadcasting station.  They have not recurred so we haven’t been able to trace them further, but they be coming from the 9Mhz region.

There is other kind of noise sometimes, too, but not recently.
