     Ray, what is CQ?!? Tried it twice for about 30 seconds with no replies.

     Will feel more comfortable if I can get my speed up to 30 wpm or more.

     Sandy, did you get your voice back?!? Digital Voice Keyer is a wonderful

     invention.

     Jeff, you had me on my toes! After you get your rotator replaced, I'll

     have to work harder to stay ahead of you!

      SO HP, CW Only, No Assistance, other than CWGet.

      TS-2000X, KPA-500 at 400+ watts, TA-33 at 20 feet, 11 hours.

       85,608 claimed points, 246 Qs, 984 Points, 44 S/P, 43 DX.

     Last year's actual figures: 82,160 points, 232 Qs, 804 pts, 111 S/P + DX.

     Last year's time was 9 hours 49 minutes.

     I missed several US states and not near as much DX as last year. 

     Heard 1 JA but no luck making the contact. No VK nor ZL. 

     Worked AK and HI.

     Next year, I'll try Assistance, to boost my score for the club's totals.

You did great as well David!! Upping your score is a good thing!!

I tried listening to 2 guys chatting in CW this morning. The decoders said they were going about 25wpm and I had trouble keeping up. I would miss about every 4th or 5th letter, but I got the host of the conversation, mostly. 

They were using straight keys, they held a few of their dashes out long and it throws my timing off sometimes. 

I think I’m about 100% at 15-20wpm, maybe 18 average if they are using an electronic keyer. 🙄

But my character speed is definitely rising more. The longer I listen, I start to hear short words and callsign prefixes pretty good at 30-40ish. 

I’ll get there, I just gotta stick with it!
