Subject: [RTTY] NAQP RTTY February 28, 2026

Hello KCCC,

The North American QSO Party (NAQP) on RTTY will be Saturday February 28.

Please join the fun with a friendly contest exchange of Name and State (or Province or Country).
Five bands, 10m to 80m, RTTY only, Maximum power of 100 watts.
Contacts and Multipliers count again on each band, so Hooray for 10m!
Single-op scores count up to 10 of the 12 hours, so you can have at least 2 hours off.
Single-ops have "traditional" and Assisted categories.
Rules, records, and past results at the National Contest Journal website:
<http://ncjweb.com/naqp/>  http://ncjweb.com/naqp/

Teams: Any group of two to five single-operators can form a NAQP Team.
Register your Team before the contest at the "Team Registration" link:
<http://ncjweb.com/rttynaqpteamreg/>  http://ncjweb.com/rttynaqpteamreg/

If you are setup for FT8, you can also do RTTY in audio mode called AFSK.
If you are new to RTTY operating, some good resources are:
  Getting Started on RTTY  https://www.aa5au.com/rtty/
  RTTY Contesting  https://www.rttycontesting.com/
Contest University  https://www.contestuniversity.com/files/  Search for "RTTY" or "W0YK".
Try a web search for "RTTY" plus "your logger software" or "your radio".

NAQP RTTY Practice is available on Thursday and Friday nights:
1. Thursday night is the WRT, the Weekly RTTY Test at 0145Z Friday in NAQP Format (Name and State).
  https://radiosport.world/wrt.html
2. Friday night is more NAQP RTTY Practice at 0200Z Saturday (Friday 9PM EST, 6PM PST)
Call "CQ NA" and practice your NAQP exchanges and logging for about 30 minutes.
Frequencies: 14083, 7083, and 3585 kHz and up.

Then, NAQP RTTY starts Saturday morning, 1800 UTC.
Please take a photo, and send me a story of your operation, to make the results more interesting.
Look for college stations in the NA Collegiate Championship. <http://www.w9smc.com/nacc/>.

The above information is from Mark K6UFO, National Coordinator

Sign me up!  I'll do the best I can.

Once again I will be limited to dipole antennas - primarily my EDZ - Extended Double Zepp.
