The estate of the late Richard Weaver, W3HXH, local ham and old-timer-extraordinaire, is being liquidated by his son Bob. Bob would prefer for all of Dick's gear to go to local hams if possible, and he's willing to negotiate on prices.

Dick was first licensed in 1936, and was a local ham for 70 years. He has helped many local hams get on the air.

Rather than auction stuff, Bob is holding an "Open House" this coming Saturday, October 22, at Dick's home, located just west of Harrisonburg on U.S. Route 33. The number is 3842 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg, Virginia. This is just west of the sign indicating the community of "Dale Enterprise".

We will announce the times as soon as I hear from Bob, but it will likely be Saturday morning from around 8 or 9 a.m. until shortly after noon, say, maybe 2 o'clock or so. I will follow up with a message giving the exact times.

All items will be sold on a first-come first served basis as long as the offer is acceptable to Bob.

No phone calls, no reservations, no advance showing -- show up Saturday morning early and make an offer on what you want. Be careful going in and out of the driveway, and feel free to park on the front lawn if the drive circle is full. Carpooling is recommended.

Terms: cash and take it with you.

All items will fit (individually) in a car trunk except perhaps the station desk and maybe the large floor amplifier.

All items are sold "as is", and some of the gear is noted as needing repair. Other gear has been tested, but no warranty is offered, expressed or implied. The list below notes those items which we know need repair, and those we have tested. Unless noted, the gear is untested.

Again, Bob is interested in moving this equipment at a fair price to local hams before he resorts to other liquidation methods. Bob is experienced in on-line selling and knows he can get more for the equipment on e-Bay, but he is honoring Dick's wishes that local hams be given first crack at making offers, so come out and take a look and offer Bob what you think it is worth to you. As long as your offer is reasonable, Bob promises to let it go to a local ham for less than he would get on e-Bay.

Here is list of MOST of the stuff. There are several other items not on this list, and dozens of "junkbox" items, such as connectors, cables, components, bits and pieces, etc. All items are used, some more than others, but nothing is new in the box. The used-nature and condition (and if applicable the untested nature) of the equipment will be considered in determining a fair price.
