Hello Ed, Most likely WSJTX is logging to your wsjtx_log.adi file. If you have opened up a second occurrence of WSJTX say for a contest or as I do copy the original WSJTX icon past it else where on the screen, then create a new contest from that icon. Here is what happens. A new folder is created in C:\users\"your user name"\AppData\Local\WSJT-X-"name of the contest you put in the setup tab, on the Properties tab of the created Icon"
When you first click that new Icon WSJTX creates all the needed files in that new folder for that new icon EXCEPT the wsjtx.log and the wsjtx_log.adi files. When you make your first contact WSJTX is supposed to create the two new files. I have found it often does not create the wsjtx_log.adi file. Therefor I always create my own wsjtx.log and wsjtx_log.adi files and put them in that new folder before I make any contacts. Since doing that I have had no problems. Caution the wsjrx.log starts as a blank file with nothing in it. The wsjtx_log.adi is not a blank file. That file must start with these characters in the first line WSJT-X ADIF Export<eh>
Most likely you imported the wrong wsjtx_log.adi file and that is why you did not see your correct results.
If you need more help look me up on the
pvrc.org. Put my call under roster and send me an email.
73 and good luck,
alan WA3EKL

Subject: [WSJTX] contacts being logged in wsjt.log but not in wsjt_log.adi #FT8
I'm running WSJT-X version 2.4.0.
I made a bunch of FT8 contacts yesterday (Sept. 2 UTC) that WSJT-X logged to wsjtx.log but not to wsjtx_log.adi.
I know this because:
When I imported wsjtx_log.adi into my N1MM+ logger, the Sept. 2 contacts were not there; and
the timestamp on my wsjtx_log.adi file says that it was last updated on Sept. 1, not Sept. 2.
How do I get WSJT-X to log to both the .log and .adi files, which is supposed to happen according to the WSJT-X manual?
Any and all advice will be appreciated.
