Good morning! I am in charge of the CW station for this
year's Field Day operation. Here are the ops I know will be
there this year:
Chris W4SVA
Jeff W4PJW
Ray K2HYD
David AD4TJ
Chris has again requested to be on the late night shift,
10 pm till the next person shows up! Due to my
unexpected heart problems my operating time will probably
be limited. Looking for the unknown-to-me CW ops who
want to operate. Please let me know, and what times
you would like to sign up for. I'll do my best to coordinate
with everyone so we can have everyone happy and making
lots of contacts! Of course, preference will be given to the
3 ops listed above; I'll fill in as my time permits. The (all
most) blank station schedule is attached to give you a
picture of the time slots available.
I'll be bringing my Kenwood TS-2000X for the radio. It is a
totally different animal than the Icom 756 Pro III of Jeff's!
I'm working on a short tutorial with pictures to let you get
somewhat familiar with it before you actually have to use it.
I also have attached the complete manual, for those who
want to see all the gory details of the radio!
Headphones will be provided, along with paddles, keyer, 24"
monitor, laptop with external keyboard (I hate laptop
keyboards!), etc. Oh, and a seat cushion to ease your time
in the chair.
And thanks to Jeff for providing the trailer and the EDZ
antenna.
