Hi all,
I'd like to share a tool I've been developing that some of you may find
useful.
ChronoGPS is a Windows time synchronization utility designed
specifically with digital mode operators in mind.
Accurate timing is fundamental to FT8, FT4, and FT2 — and ChronoGPS is
built around that single purpose. It supports both NTP (RFC 5905
compliant) and GNSS/GPS synchronization, so you can start with NTP and
step up to GPS-based sync whenever you're ready.
Here's what it offers:
Real-time clock offset display with ±0.1s quick adjustment
Multi-constellation GNSS support: GPS / GLONASS / BeiDou / Galileo / QZSS
Monitor-Only mode — no admin rights needed to get started
Comprehensive README and FAQ
Available in 16 languages — useful for operators worldwide
I've been running it unattended for over 33 hours and it consistently
maintains accuracy within ±0.010 seconds. It simply runs quietly in the
background and keeps your clock where it needs to be.
Free, open source, and distributed as a portable single EXE — no
installation required.
I hope some of you find it useful. Feedback and questions are very welcome.
