Dear 2014 St. Patrick's Parade participants and sponsors:

On behalf of the Old Sacramento Business Association, thank you for your support of the 2014 St. Patrick's Parade!
We hope you enjoyed the festivities on Saturday.  Irish eyes smiled upon us once again with a picture perfect day!
Approximately 15,000 people turned out to watch the parade, making this one of Northern California's largest St. Pat's parades.
We had 86 colorful entries, with well over 1,000 spirited parade participants.

The Family Fun Zone on K Street was well received and something we will look at possibly expanding next year. 
Special thanks to our Family Zone participants; Entercom Radio, H&R Block, Old Sacramento Living History Program,
The Shamrock Club, Liam Irish and Karen Radar, Whelan-Kennelly Academy of Irish Dance, Caherisveen, Ophir Prison Marching Band,
Party Line Express and the Sacramento Firefighters Burn Institute. 

We would like to thank our event sponsors; City of Sacramento, Old Sacramento Historic District, Entercom Radio, The Shamrock Club,
SMUD, Embassy Suites, Delta King, Hornblower Cruises & Events, Ten22 and Evangeline's.

We'd also like to thank the Lions Club for serving as our parade marshals, as well as the Sacramento Police Dept.,
the Downtown Sacramento Partnership Guides, the Old Sacramento Historic District and Tanner from Star Radio who did a great job
as our parade announcer. 

As evidenced by this long list of supporters, it takes a team of dedicated people to help make this event a success.

Next year, I would like to ride my adult tricycle in the parade, so I can sound my horn, and shout out, HAPPY ST PATRICK"S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Be well.
