The house that I am building in Southern California should be finished by the summer.  I have 2 possibly 3 trips planned there in the next six months.  We are going there Ester weekend to meet with the design center.
I am going there again in July so that we can close on the house. I might go there again in September on my own.
California Rehab DOR told me that I need to have a physical California address before I can apply for services. Hopefully my house will be finished so that I can use that as my California address for DOR.
My primary goal is to have moved there by the end of this year. My other primary goal is to return to work. If anyone of you knows of a good Voc  Rehab Counselor who handles Blind Services cases in Southern California please send me that information. I too might be interested in some of those LEAP jobs.

Thank you

Wow Keith!

I wish you congratulations and good luck in advance!  As far as DOR counselors in Southern California, who work with the blind, I would do one of two things.  I would contact, the department's state headquarters here in Sacramento, at (916) 558-5300.  I would also contact the following, in Southern California, Junior Blind of America, Braille Institute and/or Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica.   Also, I haven't forgotten to call you.  I have been busy with school and I was at the state capital a lot this month.  I am also trying to spearhead a campaign to stop sheltered workshops from paying the disabled less than the minimum wage.  Again, I wish you congratulations in advance, ad good luck.  Be well.

Rick Hodgkins.
