6pm: Earthdance

You are invited to a special showing on Tuesday 22nd of June at 6pm. Mirva Makinen has been conducting her Phd research here at Earthdance with a select group of artists. This group has been focusing on the aesthetics of contact improvisation and what kind of values are imbedded in this dance form. We will create a performance based on our 10 days of deep exploration into this material.

Our showing will be one hour and will include 9 dancers, one musician and one visual artist. After our showing we invite you to join us for some discussion about the work and the process. It has been so fruitful to dialogue with audiences about their experiences witnessing our work.

Earthdance will provide a dinner at 7.30 pm and after that we will host a jam. Of course, we ask folks to leave a donation for Earthdance if you want to stay for dinner and jam.
