VIDAM: tonight 7:30pm, Northampton Center for the Arts... Air Conditioned Space

Tuesday July 19, 7:30pm VIDAM @Northampton Ctr for the Arts –Matt Murphy, consulting musician at Smith College this Fall... will be filling the space with the lovely Grand Piano, also may experiment with: electric and acoustic guitar, trumpet, percussion, as well as baritone guitar and some flutes. "I would think about bringing an assortment of instruments that best help to support the movers, and best help to accentuate the beautiful natural resonance of the space." 

VIDAM stands for Valley Improvisational Dance And Music. Our aim is to create an open space where improvisational movement and music come together. Each VIDAM event invites at least one veteran improvisational musician to feed the space with inspiration for movement, for expression, for surprise and delight.

***This event is open to all who would like a focused creative space to move in collaboration with others and with improvised sound.
