Beverly,
This issue was discussed at the last board meeting. The round of tree
trimming that was completed this past fall included only what was
mandatory - trees that were in danger of falling (safety hazards) and
trimming back trees that were directly interfering with people's
houses. We will keep the back evergreens on mind for future projects
if we get to a point when we can pay for more than the necessities
with trimming trees. I'd also like to see some replacement of the
trees we had to take down this year. Unfortunately, both of these
would take several thousands of dollars to address and we're looking
at a much needed perimeter fence replacement, which will be quite
expensive. In the meantime, as a temporary solution, we've talked to
our landscaped and he's said there are varieties of grasses that do
quite well in full shade, and if you'd like I can contact them and get
the info or recommendations for you and we can see about doing
something like that for now. Grass is nice to have, I agree. Please
let me know if you'd like me to go about getting the info. I'm
shortly about to hand over secretarial duties. Thanks. Sorry we
can't come up with a more agreeable solution at the moment.
