Jains of Tamil Nadu have contributed immensely to the development of Tamil in the last 25 centuries. Tamil Brahmi writing in pottery, stone, coins have a deep influence of Jainism. Tolkappiyar, Tirukkural, Naaladiyar, Cilappatikaram (Ilango AdikaL), Seevaka Chintamani, Choolaamani, Neelakesi... etc., are some of the Tamil classics penned by Jains.  For reference, Iravatham Mahadevan, Early Tamil Epigraphy, Harvard Oriental Series (HOS). Iravatham's Harvard University book is the First and foremost book on Tamil epigraphy.

For several decades, MukkuDai, has been a reputed journal of Tamil CamaNar, Here is a note on the recent grant from Tamil Nadu govt. towards establishing a Tamil professorship at University of Houston, Texas, USA. Thanks.
