prof. Heinrich von Stietencron receives the Distinguished Indologist Award

Dear members of the list, dear colleagues,

it is my great pleasure to inform you that the Emeritus of the Dept. of Indology at Tübingen University, Heinrich von Stietencron, receives the  "Distinguished Indologist Award" by the Indian government. The award ceremony of this newly created prize is connected to the three-day "World Indology Conference" and will take place on November 21, 2015 in Delhi, President Pranab Mukherjee will personally present the award.
