Issue while creating multiple grade objects with same name

Hello Sarah-Beth and Valence Community Members,

When we create multiple grade objects with the same name, we get the following error,

{"Errors":[{"Message":"A grade item with this name already exists. Enter another name for the grade item."}]} 

We also see in the API documentation as below,

Your posted grade object must have a unique Name property.

So, Is this the system limitation or we have a work-around?..

The Name property is designed to be unique for each Grade item, so there is no available workaround. Is there a particular use case that requires you to give the same name to multiple grade items? Understanding that use case could help identify ways to manage this behavior.
