Hi All,

I have integrated the LTI with D2L at trial.brightspace.com. While I'm accessing the LTI app, I can get all the values except the roles. I'm getting roles as "None" for the both Instructor and Student. Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Ebinezar

Can you confirm if the roles have been mapped in the system you're testing on? The process for mapping roles is covered in the admin docs. Another thing to note is that "None" is an allowable role. So when you verify the mappings, you may find that some of them have been explicitly mapped to None.

The D2L Partner Network provides access to a sandbox server for doing development and testing. I think this would be a logical option if you need to continue testing your integrations.

So from the D2L Partner Network membership, can I get the D2L source/setup code to install and run on my machine?

No. The Brightspace platform is a cloud service. There isn't a desktop option. However, with the sandbox site, you would have access to configure the environment to deploy & test your integration in the context of a course, etc.

Thanks Sarah-Beth. So the "Network Member Level" Partnership is enough for me to do all the required things? Please suggest me which level of partnership I need ?

I'd recommend that you contact the Partners email address to discuss your needs with the folks managing that program. They'll be able to provide you with advice on which level makes sense for your needs. I'd prefer to leave it to their expertise on that front.
