Thanks to all of the Black Ponies who sent letters.

Tom idolizes us, but most of us idolize him, and his SEAL’s.

They were down and dirty in the mud, face-to-face with Charly.

We lived in comfort, with AC, booze, et al. They didn’t.

classmate at both schools.)

Jim,

I’m at LV airport returning home from the Honor Flight. First off Thank you for your kind words in your letter & VAL-4 squadron mates’ letters who responded to your request. It is humbling to be recognized by such a fine group of men that I so respect. On our return to SD the SEAL Admiral was there to greet every man individually. As we walked past an honor formation of sailors in their dress whites to the escalator, there was sea of about 1000 people, cheering & shouting “welcome home!” Needless to say I was overwhelmed. Thank you for your part in my welcome home. 

Have the Black Ponies been on an Honor Flight? If not I am going to recommend it to the HF folks when I send them my donation.
