Val Verde Neighbors,

I had a report that a neighbor on 97th Street had items stolen out of their garage in the past week. While we live in a relatively safe area we are only minutes from a large metropolitan area with considerable crime. Garages should always be kept closed unless you are in the front yard and can observe the garage.  In addition all exterior doors should be kept locked at all times to prevent anyone from just walking into you home.

The La Vista Police will stop at your house at night if they see a garage open, however the crooks may see it open first.
