Dear all,
I suppose all members of our association would have observed in our audited balance sheets for the last 5 years - that - almost Rs. 4.85 lakhs in Canara Bank accounts(Fixed deposits: Rs. 3.85 lakhs and Rs. 1 lakh in current account) was stuck and we could not utilise the funds in the account since some old members had filed cases before a civil court and bank had stopped allowing us to operate. (our association would get the interest in case of Fixed Deposit accounts upto date). We would be transferring all the amounts in KGF account to the association's Canara Bank, Chamarajpet, Banglore branch immediately.
At last, we have been able to convince the bank and the bank has allowed us to operate the accounts.(The case filed by old members was dismissed by the court). We need to pay Rs. 2.38 lakhs to an advocate which has been pending for more than 5 years - we could not pay this amount since the amount collected for him was stuck.
This is for your information.
As far as Supreme court case is concerned, we have not yet received any dates for the hearing of the case.
With best regards,
ravi
