Dear Sri Shankar,
Thank you very much for your sincere appreciation.
Our total fight would have assumed totally a different shape if you had not gone for a compromise with Megacity and pursued with National Commission to pass a final order which would have been a good precedent for all other cases.
I am sure you have not gained much by going for the compromise since you cannot construct any house in that area even after your compromise and getting the site registered 5-6 years ago.
Now, our Secretary - Sri Nanjundaiah - is trying to coordinate with the registered members so that we could activate our association’s efforts for fighting for getting the final approval from BMICAPA and getting the development of lands done to facilitate for members to make use of the property registered - either to construct their own houses or dispose off at sensible prices. I suggest you to contact him at
+91 99806 27052 and see what action could be taken in this regard. You were also keen to pursue the matter.
However, our association and me are very thankful to you for being pioneer in filing the Consumer Forum case which actually inspired us to take that route instead of going through the civil court for specific performance. If we had gone to civil court route, there would not have been any decision even in the trial court after 6 years!! whereas, our cases are before the Supreme Court now!
We shall be in touch.
Best regards,
Ravi
