Planning and Designers Handbook
Summer was the most awaited time of students but all looking forward at the end of it because we are going to buy new stuff for school! Since I am going to be a freshman again, I need to buy materials for my drawing subjects and for long term use like the tech pens and T square.
Since I was a kid, I do love paper and crayons. Amazed by how one color will make a difference in a black a white drawing. From pencils to markers, crayons to color pencils or pastels makes me create art of my own version. Making sketches of anything that caught my attention put smile on me.
Before graduation, I was not given chance to enter my first choice of University but entering PUP was a good choice too. But due to volume of passers during my first year, I was not given slot to enter freshman taking BS Architecture instead enrolled as BS Mathematics student. Dealing with number and calculator was not that appealing to me during my first year but needed to like and enjoy it since I am still going to learn something. Drawing on notepads and posting art work on Instagram help me enjoy art more and still hoping I can pursue what I love doing the most. Then something happened that I may say blessing in disguise .
The three of us are based in universities, so we create partnerships for participatory planning and design that include young people, their teachers and out-of-school program leaders, experts like landscape designers, students and faculty in the fields of design and environmental studies, and decision-makers like staff in city agencies. Placemaking with children is intergenerational because adults need to work beside children to change public spaces. We have found it is also intergenerational because children bring forward thinking about what all sectors of society need.
