V1.7.4 not installed in OS X usr/bin

Hi all. I installed new vagrant OS X onto my 10.9.5
Instead of installing into usr/bin vagrant was installed into opt/vagrant/bin
Is this correct. Do I create my own symbolic link to the usr/bin dir?

The symbolic link should already be in there, at least in my environment (Mac OS X 10.8.5)
$ ls -l `which vagrant`
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 24 Jul 19 23:29 /usr/local/bin/vagrant -> /opt/vagrant/bin/vagrant
$ ls -l `which vagrant`
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 24 Jul 19 23:29 /usr/local/bin/vagrant -> /opt/vagrant/bin/vagrant
