Host: mac os 10.14.5
virtualbox 6.0.8
virtualbox extension pack 6.0.8
vagrant 2.2.5

Guest: "ashiq/osx-10.14" version "0.1"

I get
Vagrant is not able to mount VirtualBox shared folders on BSD-based
guests. BSD-based guests do not support the VirtualBox filesystem at
this time.

Just to add.
I realized that probably the box doesn't have Guest Additions installed.
I tried:
vagrant ssh
$ mount VBoxGuestAdditions_6.0.8.iso
$ cd /Volumes/VBox_GAs_6.0.8/
$ sudo installer -pkg VBoxDarwinAdditions.pkg -target /
installer: Package name is Oracle VM VirtualBox
installer: Installing at base path /
installer: The install was successful.

restarted guest vm
vagrant up still still cannot detect guest additions:
Checking for guest additions in VM...
No guest additions were detected on the base box for this VM!

Did you install the vbguest plugin from the command line?

vagrant plugin install vagrant-vbguest

I tried vagrant-vbguest
Unfortunately, it won't recognize Mac Os guests
"Sorry, don't know how to check guest version of Virtualbox Guest Additions on this platform. Stopping installation."
Which is obvious because there is no installer
So I tried to install Guest Additions manually.

Thank you!
Yes, I know I can use rsync.
2.2.5 release notes mention:
guest/freebsd: Add proper VirtualBox share folders support for FreeBSD guests [GH-10717]
I wanted to give it a try but didn't succeed so far.
