Editing files in the guest vagrant VM from the host vagrant machine ??

 Hi all,

 I would like to edit a vagrant guest VM using the programs in my vagrant host machine.
 So I used the sync folder option by adding that line in the vagrant file:
 config.vm.synced_folder "/net/u/mah/Tacker_guest_machine/", "/opt/stack/tacker"
 
 when I do vagrant up, it should be shared in the /Tacker_guest_machine dir, but I did not find anything. So how to solve this issue ? or if there is other ways to    edit directly the files from my host machine ?

On the host this folder does exist?

/net/u/mah/Tacker_guest_machine

What are the permissions?

ls -al /net/u/mah/Tacker_guest_machine
