I've just been getting my vagrant config set up on my new Mavericks machine and was having a crazy issue where the Virtualbox VM would just terminate directly after launch.
The last thing in the log was the assigning of the IP address and then it would just stop.

The log would just finish with:

Even trying to run the VM directly from Virtualbox would do exactly the same.
After a little trial and error, I found that removing CD/DVD-ROM from the Boot Order in VirtualBox and running "vagrant up" again fixed the issue.

No idea why, but thought that might be helpful to anyone having similar issues.

Well that didn't actually fix it. It let me ssh, but once I tried "vagrant provision" it broke the box again and now it crashes.
