I demo'd this software to the developers the other day (and they liked it!) but the boss's first question was:

"Can you create the VM on a networked machine so we don't use the local developer's machine's resources with virtualbox?"

I tested other providers such as digital ocean and sure it works with rsync-auto, but cannot seem to hook up a remote machine with virtualbox.

Surely if it can be done with remote providers, there must be a way to create a remote virtualbox provider.

Would like to see this feature or at least have a solution to create and destroy vm's from developer station on a local area networked machine dedicated to serving virtual environments.

Cheers.

not today.

But you can allow developers to rdp/ssh into a network machine and do vagrant up there.

I mean on the LAN. We don't want to create vagrant boxes outside our office network or use vendors like digital ocean or AWS.

Fingers crossed as I think this would be a great feature.
