Dear Wen-Hsin, CPhA is excited to announce a soft launch of our new Advanced Practice Pharmacist certificate training program! This new program was designed to satisfy 'earning a certification under a relevant area of practice' which is one of the three criteria required under the new statute to become an Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APP). The APP classification which expanded pharmacists' scope of practice authorizes pharmacists to perform patient assessments, order and interpret drug therapy-related tests, refer patients to other healthcare providers and initiate, adjust and discontinue therapy.  By participating in this program, you'll not only earn up to 38 contact hours continuing pharmacy education credit, your contribution and feedback will ensure this program meets the gold standard of certificate programs.    This opportunity is available to CPhA members on an invitation only basis. It's on 12/10. $500 before you register before 11/25 I think. Its a lot of money so I wanna make sure the training is necessary for becoming an advanced practice pharmacist :/
