Mother of Anne Powell Burwell (1810-1878)/wife of Armistead Burwell

I am researching the Burwells of Mecklenberg County, and have run into a puzzle.  Anne Powell Burwell's father is Armistead Burwell (1770-1841).  Records indicate that he married either Lucy Crawley (1775-1825) in 1791 or in 1800, he married Mary Cole Turnbull (1782-1860).  Anne Powell Burwell is not shown in lists of Lucy's children.  Mary's marriage date is later than Lucy's, but Lucy is named as his executor in his will.  

Were there two Armistead Burwells?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
