Scrimmage this Saturday

I would just like to update everyone on the scrimmage this Saturday.  We have 5 confirmed teams: Lord of the Bricks, League of Incompetent Gentlemen, Good Enough, LogiCoyotes, and FROGbots - Green. Wizards.exe, Smokey Jr., and FROGbots - Purple are still possible attendees. We still have room for more teams if you know of any others that might be interested.

The scrimmage will be held at the Warrenton Community Center, 430 E Shirley Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186. We have the community room reserved from 1 to 5.  Everyone is welcome to start arriving at 1. We will be starting to set up at that time as well.  We plan to have a full field set up with chairs to watch, a pit area with at least a 6 foot table per team, and a demo/test field.

We hope to have the main field set up by 1:30. At that point teams can start practicing and we can start running practice matches. The doors will open to the public at 2. We'll then run matches until 4:30. We need to be cleaned up and out by 5.

There are many fast food restaurants nearby. Food is also allowed in the facility and there are vending machines for snacks and drinks. 

We will be sending out a diagram later for how the room will be set up and where each team's pit will be. Please email me if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

I'd like to invite the teams to bring their engineering notebooks. We will be bringing our notebook to share. This will give us a chance to help each other to improve our notebooks. I have judged the Think award at a previous qualifier and will try to look through notebooks and give suggestions for improvement, if you'd like.

Thank you to everyone that came to the scrimmage on Feb 15th.  I just wanted to let you know that we found a winter coat after everyone had left.  It is a Gerry black/gray winter coat with a red lining (size L).  If you know who it belongs to, please let me know so that we can get it back to the owner.
