Hello All,

At the link below, please find under the “Reports” section our 2010 Report to the Joint Commission on Health Care Regarding CIT Program Assessment.  The Commonwealth has made great strides implementing the CIT model and although we did not gain many new programs, nearly three-quarters of the counties/independent cities in the State have an operational, developing or planning CIT program.  Some other program highlights:

1.      88 local CIT training courses have been held throughout Virginia

2.      1,628 officers have completed the 40 hour CIT training course

3.      366 officers and civilians have completed the TTT course to become core faculty within their community

All of this, of course, would not have been possible without your hard work and cooperation.  So, I just want to take this moment to say Thank You!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or anyone on the VACIT Leadership Team.  I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving holiday and I look forward to our work together in 2011.

Very truly yours,
