Quality Control Inspector Mechanical - Kharafi National KSC

1.To undertake QC functions in the workplace for daily QC activities.
2. To conduct inspection of raw materials, bought out items and review of Material Test Certificates (MTC) and the specification requirements.
3.To interface and coordinate with clients for QC matters and coordinate with third party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities.
4.To prepare Quality Control procedures/ work instruction, ITP (Inspection Test Plans) according to project/ client requirements and follow-up for its approval and monitor the implementation.
5.To plan and supervise Subcontractor inspection activities and reviews of Sub Contractor QC performance.
6.To supervise staff for reporting, recording and inspection activities
7.Preparation of final QC dossier for handing over to the client and maintain proper filling system (as per Organization procedure) with full traceability for retrieving the document
8.To have a proactive approach in problem solving

•Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with ASNT-Level-II+CSWIPE or AWS+BGAS certifications- 6-10 years intensive experience in fabrication and mainly in the piping, Vessels, Structural Steel etc.
•Knowledge and experience in all QC related activities in Piping, welding, related Piping fabrication, Equipment, Tanks, Painting, Fireproofing & Insulation, Verification of Piping and Test packages.
•To coordinate Non Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and review of NDT reports, Read and interpret the various drawings used in the projects for executing the work.
•Knowledge in preparation of Test package and Inspection test plan and QC procedures.

General Surgery Registrars - Al Salam International Hospital

Surgeons are physicians who specialize in the treatment of disease or repair of injuries using surgical operations. While patients are under anesthesia, surgeons use a wide array of surgical instruments to repair trauma injuries, tissue damage or treat diseases such as cancer. Surgeons also examine patients and interpret the results of a wide variety of diagnostic tests

Work Environment:
General surgeons are trained to provide care to a wide variety of surgical patients. As such, they can operate on many parts of the body. Areas of treatment include the chest, head and neck, oncology, trauma, the vascular system, endocrine system and digestive system, among others. Like all surgeons, general surgeons work in sterile environments, usually in a hospital or outpatient surgery center. They must stand on their feet for long periods of time. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 43 percent of all surgeons work more than 50 hours a week. Additionally, many surgeons travel among different clinics and hospitals to treat their patients. Most surgeons are required to be on call frequently as well.

The path to a career in general surgery is very demanding. To be admitted to medical school applicants must have at least three years of undergraduate training, though most candidates posses at least a four-year bachelor's degree. Medical schools are extremely competitive, and candidates must submit transcripts and recommendation letters. They also must take the Medical College Admission Test, or MCAT, which measures the applicant's aptitude for a medical career.

Once accepted into medical school, a student receives four years of training. The first two years are spent in the classroom learning about anatomy, pharmacology and pathology, among other topics. The last two years are spent doing clinical training under the supervision of experienced physicians in clinic and hospital settings. Following graduation from medical school, surgical candidates must complete an additional five-year residency period where they hone their skills under the supervision of experienced surgeons.

Anesthesiologists - Al Salam International Hospital

Anesthesiologists focus on the care of surgical patients and pain relief. Like other physicians, they evaluate and treat patients and direct the efforts of those on their staffs. Anesthesiologists confer with other physicians and surgeons about appropriate treatments and procedures before, during, and after operations. These critical care specialists are responsible for maintenance of the patient’s vital life functions—heart rate, body temperature, blood pressure, breathing—through continual monitoring and assessment during surgery. They often work outside of the operating room, providing pain relief in the intensive care unit, during labor and delivery, and for those who suffer from chronic pain.

Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.
Conduct medical research to aid in controlling and curing disease, to investigate new medications, and to develop and test new medical techniques.
Diagnose illnesses, using examinations, tests and reports.
Manage anesthesiological services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulating plans and procedures.
Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
Provide and maintain life support and airway management, and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery.
Instruct individuals and groups on ways to preserve health and prevent disease.
Schedule and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal or caudal methods.
Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.
Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
Examine patient, obtain medical history and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
