I have been described as a woman of high energy! To quote a fellow friend & Realtor..."Tere makes coffee nervous". My zest for life and love for my family and friends mirror my dedication to my profession as a Real Estate Professional. I have been a consistent top selling and listing agent at CENTURY 21 Crest Real Estate since 1987, and with all the years of receiving the "Circle of Excellence Award" (formally Million Dollar Club), have now earned the Lifetime Achievement designation. I owe my success to the fact that I love my job and enjoy meeting new people. Although licensed as a Real Estate Salesperson, I don't feel like a salesperson. For me, it is an exciting and natural opportunity to achieve the goals of my client's wishes implementing my complete marketing strategy package and getting the property sold! As a Listing and Marketing agent, my clients come first. I make it a priority to aggressively market their property, keep in touch with my clients, inform them of any interest in their property, and keep them updated with all advertising and marketing efforts. We met on Tinder. Tere sent Ty a GIF of an enticing bowl of pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), and asked if Ty would be interesting in getting some over a conversation about the injustices of the legal system. It took Ty about two weeks to respond, but how could they say no? We got engaged at the beginning of the pandemic, and proposed individually on two separate occasions to each other. Both proposals occurred at the home we purchased at the end of 2019. Nothing major. Just the two of us. No photographers, families, or friends. It felt right for us.

We definitely wanted to spend as little as possible. We were thinking $10k at first, but then found out that on average, people spend 5-6x that amount in the city. After we got more realistic about it, our budget was $30k at the most. We ended up staying pretty close to our budget.

Scott and Tere, who met and still both work at finance technology company FIS, wanted to be sure that their current giving and their estate plan reflect their evolving priorities. For many years, those have included Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, and the Duke track and field team. (Scott lettered one year under legendary coach Al Buehler.)

Tere describes the process of deciding on the Reggie Scholars as part awakening, part discernment. She says she felt behind the curve when the Black Lives Matter movement came into national prominence. As a white corporate executive in Orlando, Florida, Tere realized she was nave about the realities of life for her Black colleagues and neighbors. She searched for understanding in books and conversations.

The Ethiopian dish known as tere siga offers exactly what it promises. Translating to \"raw meat,\" the meal consists of thick strips of just that: raw meat, usually cut off a hanging carcass (most often, a cow), served with a fiery spice blend (mitmita) and a small bowl of a runny, spicy mustard sauce (senafich). And, of course, there is injera, the vessel most commonly used to transport Ethiopian foods from plate to mouth.

The raw meat dish is undeniably a culturally important one in Ethiopia, which is striking considering that Ethiopians spend most of their lives actively eschewing meat: Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity has 180 fasting days each year (250, if you're a priest or nun), which stipulate no food before mid-afternoon and no meat at all.

The Kannada film Kantara, with its release in 2022, introduced the Bhoota Kola to a large audience outside where it takes place - in Tulu Nadu of Karnataka. However, versions of what some people call a spiritual ritual and others term a folk art form are also performed in other parts, such as the Malenadu regions of Karnataka and in Kerala too. This includes the picturesque hilly district of Kodagu, where it is called Tere (pronounced they-rey) in Kodava language.

There are striking similarities to the bhoota kola, but according to experts, tere, theyyam and thira (the latter two from Kerala) are grouped together, and in Kodagu, both tere and kola are celebrated. In tere, the Malabar influence is evident, while in kola, the influence of kola organised in Mangaluru is more visible, they say.
