In "Evernote Legacy" version both these problems don't exist. In Print to PDF from legacy version, both colour of text in dark mode and numbered list are perfect. (But in legacy version, there are 2 other problems of font size and spacing between lines in print to PDF)
2. Have you tried creating the PDF yourself in Adobe / MS / Libre Office and attaching it to your note? It's still visible inline and may be less affected by importing/ exporting from Evernote rather than printing.
I would posit that this part is a problem with Adobe and not with Evernote. The PDF is generated in "light mode" regardless of whether you are viewing the note in dark mode or light mode in Evernote. In dark mode, A PDF Viewer will try its best to adjust the colors of the PDF text to compensate for the background now being black. In this case, it looks like Adobe Acrobat is just not adjusting the colors well enough... perhaps because the text colors that Evernote exports are more of a gray than they are black.
When exported as PDF from "Evernote Legacy" : In dark mode, in Adobe reader, the normal text is clearly visible and the coloured text remains as it is (without changing colour). But problem with Evernote legacy is the font size variations and spacing between lines in the exported PDF.
About the dark mode: I don't have a PDF viewer that uses dark mode, but I guess that it has something to do with the text color being dark gray (instead of black) and therefore also dark gray (instead of black converted to white) in dark mode.
Both numbered list and dark mode text are perfectly working in Legacy version. But there are 2 other issues PDF from legacy version -- Text font size and spacing between lines. Hence, I have to depend on latest version and dark mode is essential for me.
