On the login page, Inspect Element the username and password fields and take note of their name (or id, if no name is given) attributes. For example on Khan Academy, that would be identifier for the username and password for the password.

Enter your credentials on the page in this form and hit submit. Firefox will now prompt you to save the credentials. The website will probably burp up an error or ignore the request or something, but we don't care about that.

Why does this work? Some sites deliberately do something funny to prevent you saving the password (the browser's remember password feature is often seen as insecure); other sites just have a funny form mangled beyond recognition for Firefox. Adding this simple form makes Firefox detect it and when you enter your credentials, it will prompt you to save them.

Now on the login page, as long as the fields actually have name attributes at all I guess (and it probably needs to be wrapped in a too, I don't know), Firefox will typically recognize the fields and be able to fill them for you.

Since Firefox 70.0 this is now a built-in feature in the password manager (Firefox Lockwise). To access it navigate to the saved password list or type about:logins in the address bar; At the bottom left corner click the Create New Login.

To simplify the advice by the top poster, the reason the feature doesn't work on some websites, whilst working on others, is due to the non-standard and/or malicious code used by enterprise websites like Hertz.com.

Since Firefox sometimes fights me on certain websites, the solution I've developed is using another browser such as Chrome and saving the username/password there. Then you can import the login information for the specific website from that other browser.

It creates dummy input fields on the page where you enter (or update) your credentials and when you click the "Save my Password!" button, Firefox will ask you to save (or update) your password for the page.

Create a CSV file.
You can do this with an ordinary text editor: or go into Firefox Options, Security, Passwords, and export your current passwords into a CSV file instead of the default XML file.
Edit this file with a text editor (or spreadsheet).

You now have a new entry in your password manager. No fiddling around with Add-ons (many of which won't work with the current ESL releases) or adding and possibly messing up HTML. If you make a mistake in the CSV file the worst that can happen is that Firefox won't import it and you'll have to edit it and fix the mistake.

The top answer works but there's no need to create a fake form in most cases. Just inspect the login button and change it's type from "button" to to "submit". Enter your password and hit the button, it will prompt you to save but probably not log you in as it's expecting a vanilla button. Refresh the page to undo your changes, enter your email and voila, it should autofill your password.

More simple solution worked for me. No need to add new form. I just added to original login form and another button appeared. First I pressed new button and FF save password dialog appeared. Second I pressed original button and logged in.

The best idea is not to depend on the browser's caching of the passwords, since the mechanism will surely change over time, and there will always be a problemwhen moving from one computer to another or when using more than one computer.

The best one I have found is LastPass, wherethe passwords and the contents of all the fields in their containing forms are encrypted and saved on their servers. The encryption is done on your side and using your master password for protection,so the LastPass website has no idea of what is stored on their own servers.

LastPass integrates with the browser to remember passwords and all the otherfields that you have entered into the form, as sometimes more than just thepassword is required (for example the email or user-name).You may also manually enter this data for websites or programs into the LastPassrepository.

The power of this concept was proven when the LastPass website was hacked. The results were rather minor for the users, as the most that the hackers managed to get were the password hints, as the encrypted passwords themselves were useless to themwithout the master password.

One of the several new side quests to take on in Fallout 4 with the next-gen update is called "Speak of the Devil." This quest has you following after a man's journey to find a mysterious character called The Devil, who supposedly swoops in to help those in need after a specific radio station is turned on. It so happens that The Devil is wearing a set of rare Power Armor, called X-02, and plenty of people are after it.

To ensure you get to the X-02 Power Armor first in Fallout 4, follow our guide below to complete the Speak of the Devil quest. For more on the new quests in Fallout 4, use our Echoes of the Past quest walkthrough.

If you have a leveled-up character in Fallout 4, the Speak of the Devil quest should automatically be added to your quest log after downloading the next-gen update. However, if you're on a new save, then you have to wait until reaching a certain point in the story before you can begin Speak of the Devil or any of the other new quests.

Speak of the Devil begins at Wattz Electronics store, which is located in the middle of the map. Here, you can enter the front door and walk across the broken floor over to a small table with a radio on it. Pick up Connie's Note and play the Black Devil Vol 1. holotape that's lying on top of it. The holotape describes some of the backstory of The Devil, and how they save innocent people when someone tunes in to a specific radio station. Reading these items starts the Speak of the Devil quest.

After reading the holotape and Connie's note, a new quest marker appears on your map that leads to Relay Tower 0MC-810. Be careful when approaching this location, as there are raiders and a Deathclaw waiting for you. Once the enemies have been dealt with, head into the red-gated area of the tower and read Richie's Note on the dead body in front of the terminal, and pick up the AM 810 holotape. Then, you need to access the terminal and extend the satellites.

Once the satellites are fully extended, head back into the terminal and insert the AM 810 holotape. With it inserted, tune the radio to play "Stars and Stripes Forever." This makes a new radio signal appear and a new quest marker on your map, leading to the BADTFL Regional Offices. This is located right near Wattz Electronics, so fast travel back there and head over to the quest marker.

Inside BADTFL, battle through the raiders until you reach the back interrogation room, where you find Connie's body sitting on a table. Loot Connie's body and read the note she left on the table, which reads "Check the Wall." You can also loot the FM 52.7 holotape on the table. This holotape is encrypted, so you'll need to find the password to it or hack in. This is done by playing the holotape on your Pip-Boy and then looking at the available options.

If you have a Hacker +3 stat, you can break in with no problem. However, if you don't, you need to guess the password from the generated list or find it. Connie's clue of "Check the Wall" does offer the password, but I can just tell you the right password too:

This password is near the top of the list and when you click on it, you'll gain access to the holotape's data. After unlocking the holotape, a new quest marker appears on your map at the Relay Tower OSC-527. Here, access the terminal, load the FM 52.7 holotape, and then transfer the "America the Beautiful" file onto the terminal. You'll hear the famous song play and get your final quest marker at the Boston Police Rationing Site.

At the Boston Police Rationing Site, you need to break into the building and go through the underground tunnel. The front door to the building is barred shut, but you can throw a grenade at the door to unlock it. You can also get on the roof with a Power Armor jump, but the explosive route is easier.

Go through the tunnel entrance and then keep heading forward until you see a radio in front of a locked door with a set of Power Armor behind it. Activate the radio to unlock the door, and you'll have access to the X-02 Power Armor. You can also read the terminal behind the Power Armor to learn about the true intentions of The Devil character.

It's here where you can make a choice: Short-circuit the radio transmission, effectively killing The Devil's character, or restore the Enclave Radio, making a new radio station available. If you end the transmission, you can unlock a nearby wall safe with some loot. Activating the radio station will lock that safe for good.

To escape the deal with Raphael there's really only one thing we want to do... and that is to void the contract somehow. Sadly we cannot unless we kill him. This can be done by completing a rather long sidequest called "Save Hope". I'll add that sidequest down below. By completing it and killing Raphael you'll also void the contract and finish this quest.

In order to save Hope, you need to first meet her, and in order meet Hope, you need to go to hell... quite literally. Yes, there's this place called "House of Hope" and it's actually Raphael's home. To get here is actually pretty easy, but getting out is probably one of the most difficult things in the game due to the fight you'll have at the end (before leaving).

To reach the House of Hope you'll want to go to the Devil's Fee building. This is the one located just north of the Lower City Central Wall waypoint. Once inside you'll want to talk to Helsik behind the counter. During your talk with her an option will come up where she offers to help you get to the House of Hope if you bring back the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength from within. She wants them. Of course agree to this to start a quest.

If you do end up agreeing to helping her she'll hand over a pouch with 5 items. We'll use these in a bit. If you didn't get the prompt, you can go behind the counter and pickpocket her to get the pouch.
