to Vaadin OSGi Collaboration

Dear community, i am researching about a dynamic Vaadin/OSGi setup finding only few and old resources. Even this group seems not to be very active which makes me doubt this is a viable setup. With Vaadin 8.1 the OSGi integration seems improved, but i am missing a best practice for setting up a dynamic UI. I have read the DS vs Services discussion but there was no definitive conclusion. Who can send me on my way?
