Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to update everyone on our reunion weekend at Burkeville Lodge. We had a good and enjoyable gathering.

We had 23 members stay at the lodge and about five or six came for the day.

We also had 23 people who paid dues. All of the dues paying people were not with us. I received some in the mail.

We have some members who are sick. They need our prayers. Those who are under the weather are Carolyn Sue Bowling, Dena Turner, Leslie Alderson, J H Cline, Virgil and Elaine. Please remember them in your prayers.

The question for us to be thinking about is: Are we going to continue the organization as a fund raising and working group or are we going to continue the organization as a social gathering each year? This is something we need to discuss. Reason being is that we board members are getting old. It is time for the younger people to think about taking over.So please give us some feed back on this subject.

We also have VSDB cups to sell. They have VSDB in raised print letters and in braille. The cups are hand maid and cannot be put in the dishwasher. The price of the cups is $25.00 (twenty-five dollars).

The board will be meeting again in October, date 17. We will be staying at the Burkeville lodge again. We will be honoring Pat Trice, retiring superintendent, Senator Emmett Hanger and Senator John Belle. Please join us for that weekend.
