Looking for WYSIWYG HTML editor

Hello...

I would like to include in my application, the ability for my clients to be able

to create their own HTML emails, using a WYSIWYG editor.

I have seen TinyMCE, and wondered if anyone has used it within their

own application.  Or has anyone built their own editor?  Something that allows

a user to type a message, change fonts, etc., and support asking that editor for the

corresponding HTML.

I am starting to build my own, but thought I would ask the forum first, so as not to waste

time reinventing a wheel that already exists.

Hi Heather,

I have used TinyMCE before and worked great, but always in a web context. Are you developing a fat client / desktop application? If so, how are you thinking of using TinyMCE? Maybe with our WebView2 wrapper?

Yes....it is for a desktop application...the client side of my client/server application.

As far as the technology, at least I think that is what I need.
I was doing so looking, and came up with TinyMCE, and wondered about wrapping it using OLE, or something.

I have actually never used the WebView2 wrapper, so perhaps that is exactly what I need.

I will look for that class, and see what I can figure out, but if there are any examples, or even a fully implemented

framework that someone is willing to share, that would be awesome.

I've just prepared an example for you.

First, load the features "z.ST: WebView Support" and "z.ST: WebView Support, Examples".

Then filein the attached CwTinyMCEExample.st.

Finally, just execute: `CwTinyMCEExample new open`.

When you click "Grab HTML", an inspector in VAST will show you the editor's HTML.

Let me know if that helps. 

BTW, I tried this only on VAST 15.

Sadly, this does not appear to be available in version 12.

I guess I really need to deal with the newer issues around Database data types, so I can upgrade to v15 first.

It's just about having the time.  Sigh.

I will get to it when I can, and then come back to this.

I greatly appreciate your response, though.

It might take me a while to get back to this, but I will reach back out if I need more help...
